Intelligent Sports, Inc. provides membership-based, multi-purpose youth fitness facilities that promote a diverse range of programs, including resistance training, aerobics, flexibility training, speed and agility, sports-skills programs and nutritional training. 


Resistance Training

In recent years, a growing body of evidence has accumulated to indicate that resistance training can be a safe, effective, and beneficial method of conditioning for youth:

  • Enhance the overall health of children
  • Improve the psychosocial well-being of children
  • Prevent injuries in youth sports and recreational activities
  • Enhance the motor fitness skills and sports performance of children 

 
Flexibility Training

Stretching exercises help improve flexibility, allowing muscles and joints to bend and move easily through their full range of motion. Kids look for opportunities every day to stretch when they try to get a toy just out of reach, practice a split, or flip over the couch.


Speed and Agility

Our certified strength and conditioning coaches will help:

  • Develop athletic power and starting acceleration
  • Improve sports speed through proper sprinting techniques
  • Learn proper deceleration techniques to improve agility
  • Increase change of direction speed
  • Enhance overall strength and power 

  
Sports-Skills

Intelligent Sports facilities and staff provide:

  • Children with a fun and safe environment to learn sports
  • Supply high quality, progressive coaching in a number of sports 
  • Introduce children to sports they may not have played before or enable them to improve in sports they already enjoy 
      

Nutritional Training

At Intelligent Sports, our staff teaches children about the importance of nutritious meals, the five food groups, healthy snacks, fruits and vegetables, and how to use the food pyramid.


Personal Trainers

At Intelligent Sports, qualified personal trainers are available to help keep kids interested in working out and having fun. Trainers are available Monday through Saturday during normal business hours.

What is a Session Like?

Each session lasts about an hour. The first meeting is devoted to assessing your child's fitness level, learning what they are interested in, and documenting past medical history. Parents are encouraged to attend the first couple of sessions with their child.

Qualifications

All Personal Trainers at Intelligent Sports have the following qualifications:

  • S/he holds a degree and/or nationally recognized certification (NSCA, ACSM, etc..)
  • S/he has experience training and working with children 
  • S/he creates training sessions based on fun activities that aren't typical gym routines and includes input from the child
  • S/he has an updated certification in CPR and/or first aid  
  • S/he helps the child find activities s/he is interested in
